Hopefully I'll make this a regular thing. Hell, it might even be fun.
We're going to get this started with today's question: What is your favorite Shakespearean insult?
If it's not on this list, choose the last option and add your favorite as a comment.
Got an idea for a future poll question? Email it to me and I'll post it next week. And remember, it's all in good fun.
P.S. -- The entries for today's poll were all taken from actual Shakespearean plays. Anyone care to take a stab at naming them?

Samp. Nay, as they dare. I will bite my thumb at them; which is
ReplyDeletedisgrace to them, if they bear it.
Abr. Do you bite your thumb at us, sir?
Samp. I do bite my thumb, sir.
Abr. Do you bite your thumb at us, sir?
Samp. [aside to Gregory] Is the law of our side if I say ay?
Greg. [aside to Sampson] No.
Samp. No, sir, I do not bite my thumb at you, sir; but I bite my
thumb, sir.
Call me stupid but, I don't even understand those options.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the classic and always fitting "Go fuck yourself"
You can't go wrong with that one
I'm rather fond of the "whoreson" reference.
ReplyDeleteI think I can work that into my vocabulary during my daily, rage-filled commute.
Nice quiz.
ReplyDeleteIt so happens that Hank over at A Lake County Point of View has this quiz up (which you and the Supermodel Wife might take some personal interest in) as an integral part of this post--a long, long post, as many of Hank's are, but for sheer fun and intellectual exuberance should not be missed.
I gotta go with:
ReplyDelete"get thee to a nunnery"
From Hamlet
I thought it meant "Go to a convent"
but it really means:
"Take yo ass to a brothel"
Good stuff.
