Good news/bad news

It's one of those good news/bad news days for me.

The bad news is that I still feel like shit. This is the strangest cold I've ever had. Really dry drainage into my throat. That's gross I know, so I won't go into the details.

But the good news is that I probably don't have Avian Flu. I rule this out because I don't make a habit of sucking the mucus out of fighting cocks.
Sometimes trainers go mouth-to-mouth with wounded birds to suck out blood and mucus. A trainer was one of 12 Thais killed by bird flu last year.
But the bad news is that I think I might have contracted Evian Flu from a tainted bottle of drinking water.

  1. This may sound gross but to alleviate the dry congestion, suck up a tad of water through your nose (each nostril) during a hot warned though, it is going to make you cough and hack but the feeling isn't any worse than accidently getting water up your nose in a pool or something...instant relief...and then prop yourself up with nose spray, drixoral and maybe some excedrin migraine...I am a pro at this...could ya tell???

  2. Thanks for the advice. I'll try it as soon as I can suck anything in through my nostrils. Actually, I think they closed up overnight. Really, I have no nostrils anymore. Just a lump of raw skin on my face where my nose used to be.

Your turn to riff...
