Flu Fighters
Yep, I've got it too.
I could see it coming a mile away. Three of the four cubes neighboring mind were all sick in the previous weeks. But like a damsel tied to the tracks in a Western melodrama, there was nothing I could do to avoid it.
Actually, I think I may have contracted it from The D. He comments here pretty frequently and I don't think he washes his hands before he uses his keyboard. Of course, he seems to be having a harder time with it. My symptoms aren't as severe.
I can only assume that's due to my superior genes with their Master Race antiviral abilities handed down by my German ancestors.
Anyway, I raise a glass of Nyquil and toast your health. Here's hoping you don't get sick.

Are you sure it's not the Gout? Sorry I just love asking people that.
ReplyDeleteYou just wait until day 3 comes along. You'll be down for the count just like I was. I also tend to over exaggerate.

ReplyDeleteKeri -- Pretty sure it's not the Gout since I had my annual Gout vaccine last December. But I haven't ruled out the Rockin' Pneumonia.
ReplyDeleteThe D, in addition to my superior genetic makeup, I've been taking Cold Ease like I own stock in the company.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if it will help, but then I wasn't sure if that exorcism would help when I discovered that ancient Indian burial ground in my basement either. And look how that turned out.
I'm thinking a good dose of (Dose=Liter) of Screwdrivers will be the cure to what ails ya! Or a whiskey drip fed intravenously
ReplyDeleteI think I'm starting to get it myself. I'm just going to accept it and deal as required. I don't think there's any way to really fight it.
ReplyDeleteI added you to my IM list at work, btw. But it looks like your ass is home today, anyway. Just wanted to let you know I made my famous brownies last night, and they are so worth the trip up two floors to get one...
Dangerboy and I got sick last week, and we used Oscillococcinum (in the cold medicine aisle). It's not cheap, but it helps to shorten the flu's duration, and I think it worked for us.
